The Borden Murders, Fall River, 4 August 1892 — Two Bodies, Ninety Minutes Apart, and Nobody Convicted
On the morning of 4 August 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were killed with a hatchet in their own locked house while their daughter Lizzie and the maid were at home. The medical evidence said the killings were ninety minutes apart. A jury acquitted Lizzie in sixty-six minutes, and no one was ever convicted.
